About Me
- Once upon a time Annie, now known as Ani, graduated third highest from South Texas College of Law Houston, and practiced Business Immigration Law for about 30 years. Nearing retirement, she started writing in the summer of 2022, at the age of 61. She grew up in Kolkata India, and has lived and studied in India, Canada and the USA.
- Ani’s flash fiction has been published in magazines like Swamp Pink, Lost Balloon, McQueen’s Quinterley, Dribble Drabble, and four anthologies, and nominated for Best Small Fiction and Best of the Net in 2024. Her story has been included in an anthology of South Asian Flash, Flash Fusion, published by Dahlia Publication, published with a grant from the Royal College of Literature, UK, 2024, Third Prize Winner of Welkin Prize, 2026, longlisted for Smokelong Micro Contest, 2025.
